Roberta was absolutely incredible from start to finish, not only was she absolutely lovely with her genuine joy and enthusiasm radiating through but she was also incredible at her job. Roberta very quickly fully understood me, what I was after and what would look best both in terms of my taste and making me look/ feel my best. The dresses she picked out were perfect and the whole experience was amazing. As it was my first experience I want to check out some other shops but I have a strong feeling I’ll be back as I can’t really imagine anything better. "Wow! I cannot recommend there enough!!! Silk and Maple was the first (and only) wedding shop I visited."

I was looked after by Roberta but all the team was so helpful and lovely. Roberta made what I expected to be a nervous experience the most fun and exciting thing! From the little details like the goody bag I received before my appointment to sitting down to share the story of how I met my fiancé, Roberta made me feel like I was shopping with a friend. She was so lovely and kind. I went in with an idea of what I wanted. When I tried it on, it didn’t suit me at all, but Roberta jumped into action and found the dream dress like she’d pulled it straight out of my head!

When I went back to try on my dress she was just as lovely and so knowledgeable about what jewellery to wear and who to go to for alterations.

The whole service felt special and one of a kind and I will remember it as one of the best and most amazing parts of planning my wedding.

Roberta was wonderful from the first minute we walked in, And the biggest thing was they had dresses that actually fit!! 6 months post partum and a size 14 and they didn’t have one dress that I couldn’t get on. "Tegan and Roberta were nothing short of absolute dreams. From the moment I discovered Silk & Maple’s website, I had a feeling."

I booked an appointment and went along with my mum and sister, and from the second we walked in, we felt so warmly welcomed. Both Tegan and Roberta were incredibly kind and genuine. Roberta, who looked after me, gave me something I didn’t even realise how much I needed, space. She let me take my time, wander, and look at the dresses independently (something not every bridal shop allows), while also being there with expert guidance whenever I wanted it.

I found my dress there, a stunning House of Savin gown. It caught my eye the moment I walked in, though it was slightly out of budget. With absolutely zero pressure from Roberta, my mum encouraged me to try it on, and when I did, we all cried. Including Roberta. That moment alone says everything about the kind of people they are. She was intuitive, endlessly caring, and has an incredible ability to read a room, which, when you’re making such an emotional decision, is priceless.

I’m not someone who can make a big decision on the spot, and Roberta handled that with total grace. No pushiness, no impatience, just reassurance and space to breathe. A couple of weeks later, I rang Silk & Maple and came back with my maid and man of honour to try the dress on again. As soon as I stepped into Naomi (yes, she has a name), I knew. She had always been the one, just as Roberta had warned me.

When I said yes to the dress, they even gave me a small discount, which genuinely brought a tear to my eye. It wasn’t expected, but it meant so much. Every part of the experience, the beautiful shop, the thoughtful gift at the end, the time, the patience, the breathing room they allow you, the wise words, and every small moment in between, felt completely different from any other bridal shop I visited.

I absolutely adored Silk & Maple, Tegan, Roberta, the rest of the wonderful team, and of course, my breathtaking dress. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing, I’d go straight back to Silk & Maple and choose the exact same gown. My only regret is not buying five of their gorgeous dresses while I was there

I have been following Silk and Maple on social media for a long time and if I’m honest, I knew it would be the only bridal shop I’d need to visit. I just knew my dress would be there.

I was greeted by Katie, who was absolute perfection. She was so warm and welcoming to me and all of my guests. We were given time to browse and pick out three dresses ourselves but then Katie worked her magic. She selected an additional three gowns based on her vision and they were all stunning! Two of her picks actually moved us all to tears, I have never felt more beautiful.

I ended up saying “Yes” to a dress that Katie chose for me. She picked up on all the things in the other dresses I loved and just knew exactly what would work for me.

The entire atmosphere was comfortable and pressure free. I never felt rushed, she let me set the pace. It was a truly magical experience that I wish I could relive over and over. Thank you Katie, and Silk and Maple for making this such a lovely memory ahead of the big day in October.
