Silk & Maple is, at its heart, a love story
just not the traditional kind...
Silk & Maple officially began in 2020…but in reality, it began when two detail-obsessed Wedding Managers met and became inseparable. Not casually inseparable. In an Ant & Dec - never see one without the other way; but obviously with better outfits and stronger opinions on tablescapes.

We met while managing weddings at a prestigious venue in Essex.
We were in our early twenties, running high-pressure wedding days with military precision… and then decompressing with prosecco like it was an Olympic sport.
Somewhere between the 27-hour shifts (yes, really), emergency bustle fixes and debating napkin folds like it was life or death…we realised we shared more than a job — we shared values. Creativity. Standards.
Celebrating love stories week after week, supporting brides & managing unforgettable days helped forge a life long partnership.
So when a global pandemic paused the wedding world, we did what any slightly unhinged but highly motivated best friends would do — we built a business.
We had a shared vision: a curated, thoughtfully designed bridal space that styles brides with genuine love and compassion, without sacrificing style or sophistication.
At the time, bridal felt divided — either trend-led but impersonal, or warm but lacking refinement. We wanted neither. We wanted better. A space where every detail is intentional.
Eighteen months of planning meetings, coffee refuels and mild breakdowns later, Silk & Maple opened its doors.
We both went on to marry the loves of our lives (our husbands are wonderful, patient men), but let’s be clear — we are each other’s life partners. This is a long-term commitment. There was no prenup, but hey, we are in this for life!
Slightly less sleep. Significantly more spreadsheets.
And honestly?
We’d still rather work 60-hour weeks together than do literally anything apart.
